Volunteer

Nathalia District Hospital understands the value volunteers bring to our organisation. Volunteers play a vital role and like many organisations, and without their enthusiastic assistance we would be unable to provide the quality of services and programs that are currently available.

Whatever skills you have – it may be reading, gardening, fundraising, craft or cooking, we would like to talk to you about volunteering at Nathalia District Hospital.

For further information on our volunteer program, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator on 03 58669444.

Volunteer Application Form

Becoming a Volunteer

If you believe you would like to become a volunteer at Nathalia District Hospital to 'make a difference' for the patients, residents in our nursing home and staff, we would welcome hearing from you. You might like to assist in activities programs, or prefer to spend time with our residents with such activities as playing card and board games, organising football tipping, reading the local news or playing the piano.

The type of activity they wish to support is entirely the choice of the volunteer.

We recognise our obligations and attach the greatest importance to the Occupational Health and Safety of our Volunteers. They receive information, training and supervision to maximise their safety. As a volunteer you can be assured that appropriate insurance indemnity is maintained to cover injury at work or travelling between home and work.

If you think this is for you, please complete the Volunteer Application Form and send it to the Volunteer Coordinator.

This can be done by email to Nathalia@humehealth.org.au, mailing it to 36-44 McDonell Street Nathalia 3638, or dropping it in to reception at the hospital.

Volunteers are a valuable and valued asset to our Health Service and will always be in control of the activities they choose to participate in and the amount of time they give.
