No Smoking

Due to recent amendments to the Tobacco Act 1987 by the Department of Health and Human Services. Smoking will be prohibited at and within four metres of an entrance of public hopsitals.

Council officers appointed under the Tobacco Act 1987 are responsible for educating the community about the new bans, and taking enforcement action where necessary. This could include isuing a fine of $147.00 to smokers who break the law.

These new regulations will impact our patients and visitors to the facility. Although it will not apply to our residents, who may still smoke in their designated gazebo area.

Signage has been placed in all entries to the facility and information is available in different areas.
